The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 看来当年的政宣电影的艺术水准十分在线，剧情设置和人物表演都拿捏得恰到好处，尤其是女反派柳秘书将那股敌特的聪明和诱惑劲儿表演得活灵活现，开头的三十分钟镜头衔接有一点点生硬，之后渐入佳境，台词打磨得很好。

感叹当年的电影工作者在时代条件那么艰苦的环境下依然能生产出那么多经典好片，而现在好片几乎成了凤毛麟角，陪长辈们去看的，他们比我们这辈人更能看懂这部佳作。
同志们，再见了！同志们，永别了！同志们！竟然是让我看了以后会想入党的电影。
看到李侠眼睛中闪烁着光芒，听见收发电台的嘀嘀嘀声音，十分敬佩
感受了一次爱国主义教育，那么糟糕的画质里我竟然看到了男女主之间浓浓的爱，女主第一次看男主发电报的时候那崇拜的目光特别打动人，还有女反派的配音听起来特别有感觉。
很有名的片子。“1938年，我地下党组织在上海的电台被敌人破坏后，延安解放区电台政委李侠（孙道临）来到上海，白天他是一名商人，晚上则躲在阁楼间收发电报，为了进一步做好保密工作，党组织同时安排纱厂女工何兰芳（袁霞）与他假扮成夫妻。两人在工作中产生真情，结为真夫妻。”
