The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 很有科技感啊，色调很喜欢原来真是在温哥华拍的
克隆人替代本体的道德伦理困境其实只是本片的手段，而绝非目的，电影真正关注的，应该是英年早逝的人如何体面的离开，如何让关心的人继续原来的生活。如果从这个角度切入，电影在美学和主题上就有足够的先进性了。可惜这个手段的论证明显不足，光靠男主角的表演，本片是无法称为佳作的。
情感的表现已经足够了 希望能有更多的伦理上的讨论
感觉疫情开始以后，就再没有看过这么好的电影了。
无论是临终告别还是爱和你能否克隆继续，都是非常喜欢的母题，气氛表演美术都可谓优质极点，但仿佛还是差了点什么，框架和表达多于情感和真挚。
实在想不明白科技都能发展到复制本体复制记忆了 却还是搞不定一个脑瘤

一个人的离开先从身体的离开，再从精神上剥离。可是，记忆。或许是可以复制，但情感不能复刻。
我想我必定就是这些美好的作品看太多了，才会真爱这件事产生各种各样也许是不切实际的幻想……
