The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 3.5 比较成功的商业片 总体还不错 足够合理的内在矛盾和外在冲突使故事的戏剧性极强 虐恋的感觉有了 也就是说足够好看然而或许是悬疑破案和感情戏的比重不够合理 感情描绘又不够细腻 所以会让人怀疑他真的那么爱他么？他怎么就那么爱了呢？但是最后那句 我会去找你 还是让人有些惋惜
感觉这个类型的爱情片已经模式化了，很难推陈出新，主演再怎么美型，看多了也乏了。

除了颜值其他都不在线的一部电影，但有可能这就是爱。
演技都还是不错的，虽然故事都还是相对老套的故事，在线水平吧
画面精美，冷暗压抑的氛围感充足。男主一点作为警察的敏锐度都没有，破案剧情再老派也不能这么凑合吧，男二全程小白花，仿佛去别墅应召的不是他似的。
我甚至一度以为爱情线是支线
看了半天，另类题材 。原本打击同性恋的组织成员 ，有着自己心爱的女友 ，却莫名其妙地走上了 相反的道路 ，这种剧情急转，心里有些不适！
我们不该害怕自由；“我很抱歉欺骗了所有人”，“但你至少没有欺骗自己”。节奏感很不错。
画面和枪战还算可以，剧情却俗套，也就是传说中的那个传奇盗匪没死隐姓埋名做好人系列，好人岂是人人做的？
对这种片子来说，人物对话好看已经绰绰有余。总之永远是受迫害的一方。
感觉这两人之间不太来电，特别是卷毛受，眼里没戏，像个美丽的石雕
男主留个小胡子太有味儿了。
还有就是画面，太太太美了，太酷，就是那个时期的波兰吧，还有点蒸汽波的感觉
这是我看过的近几年出品的优秀西部片之一。看惯了约翰韦恩、伊斯特伍德等老派经典西部片，对新出品的西部片难免挑剔，该片似乎找到了老派西部片的影子。该片不时响起大提琴背景乐，与谭盾为《英雄》的配乐非常相似，低沉声中透着苍凉。治安官几次回忆镜头，似乎是交代当年的比利小子当下的老亨利的最终传说，可能美国人对这个传说耳熟能详，但对于我来说仅靠几个镜头闪回，搞得一头雾水。记得前两年看过一部西部片《比利小子》，印象中很一般般，倒是这部对大名鼎鼎的西部英雄比利小子的最终章给了一个新的传奇。8.2分。
挺流畅的，无论是悬疑剧情还是情感发展都处理得不错，加上结合时代背景营造的肃杀阴冷氛围，整体气质鲜明。🛏️戏那段光影和配乐太棒了。主cp蛮好嗑的（我觉得男主更好看哈哈哈（风信子行动这个译名明显更好嘛
为了揭露案件真相，不惜铤而走险，最后假戏真做，发现自我，最后会在一起吗？很好看的波兰电影

要不是主角爹干了啥要不就是主角爹认识的某个大佬干了啥然后要主角爹摆平，然后主角查案查到自己身上😂 男主有点像达拉洛阳。。
