A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

演技派明星堆砌起来的警世寓言，有点不合时宜的味道。前半段马戏团情节，导演再次使出华丽怪诞的美学风格，相比之下后半段转向大都市的黑色电影情节便显得生硬尴尬了。从塔罗牌到读心术，再到通灵术，你可以欺骗全世界，却骗不了自己，因为你内心就是一个怪人。首尾呼应的结构展现出一个怪人诞生的历程，暗中与主人公大起大落的命运契合。
就很傻 很漫长 laughable 看起来辗转反侧这个那个的 然鹅我只是觉得突兀又做作 看得好尴尬，然后payback看起来是好像挺厉害让人深思的，然而我的耐心已经被折腾完了，一落幕就迫不及待的离场了，坚持到了最后结束只是替自己不值得，一秒也不想多浪费了，还没有crimson peak好笑
顺便把之前的剧情又重看了一遍，还是真琴好，虽然非常照顾遥，但自己的决定都是自己做的，可以说受遥的影响最小，这种坚定也是真琴拥有强大包容力的原因。相对来说遥反而是用对外的冷淡来掩盖内心的敏感，缺乏根性，每一步都需要别人推一把，软弱但可爱的人类啊。
跟同年上映的SOHO区惊魂夜犯了同样的错误，节奏过于快了。剧本可堪称完美，但伏笔在电影中展示的太过明显，到后面就差不多能猜到结局了。很喜欢开头对布莱德利的角色的处理，不需一句话的将人物特质呈现出来。多加一星给结尾曲Hoagy Carmichael’s Stardust。
确实是睡着了，不明白领他入门的导师是怎么死的，谁看了给我解释下。他离开马戏团开始自己单干以后确实容易看了很多，而且我这人听不了40年代的音乐，太催眠了。
不用借托美轮美奂的空镜头呈现其摄影之精湛，仅靠镜头推移，即可告诉观众其摄影功底不可小觑。虽不知为何陀螺钟情于这个并不算难得惊艳的故事，但本片融入他自身所擅长的惊悚与奇幻氛围之后，完成度颇高，质感可见一斑。会拍电影的导演，仅用几个简单的镜头就能彻底拉开与平庸导演的距离，陀螺轻易就能做到。
「高开低走，头重脚轻，化简为繁，沉闷冗长」。这一次的Toro在布景、服化、色调、画面质感等方面依旧优异，但在剧情构架上的权衡与分配却出现了太多问题。前半部马戏团戏份侧重点在于Cooper与野人两条线，不必要的人物及情节大可缩减，而Toro显然在与主线无关的细节上着于大量笔墨，以至于过渡到后半段单薄的剧情之后显得头重脚轻。人物性格与内心的变化也过于一笔带过，导致前后人物严重脱节，对比之下判若两人，就像是强行拼接般格格不入。凯特大魔王高开低走，最高光戏份无非也就是出场的一刻。本以为结局二人对戏将会一剑封喉，怎奈Toro的「兴趣」显然不在于此。不得不承认最终的结局是有加分的，但是由于剧情发展早已猜到也谈不上惊喜可言。总之相比较前作《水形物语》而言显得过于平庸，奥斯卡之路崎岖坎坷。

有一说一虽然我很喜欢free，但是这部是真不行，节奏很奇怪，haru最后都ooc了吧，好无语
很完整的风格，很独特的故事，但是结局可能不算特别完美，人物剖析的还是不够透彻。
一开始奔着大魔王小白兔二搭看的，绝对是被骗了。
现在这种电影真的是不多见了，难怪斯科塞斯老爷子认为大家应该去看一看。我确实是守旧，这种近乎手艺人的感觉，cult电影的气质，真是太戳我了。说回电影本身，也就是说，这个lowlife，不管怎样，最后他都是piece of shit，因为他没法控制自己的欲望，克服自己的弱点。highborn也不是因为克服得住自己的弱点而成为highborn的，人性中有无法克服的欲望和弱点。社会有运行的规则，拒绝相信有什么命定
这部剧场版也的确会因为是Cp大乱炖而让人想发疯，营养略过剩，齁得慌。
3.5吧，整体不如前作《猩红山庄》。翻译得好差，而且库珀居然露鸟了…这部电影告诉我们，你终究会活成自己最讨厌的样子，以及没有人可以战胜凯特大魔王。“读心术、开天眼”骗局大揭秘，记得要永远比观众多想一步。其它无甚可观，freak show本来是最适合陀螺发挥的题材，可惜美术方面也没有什么建树。
2.12 陀螺特色部分馬戲團好看。但是BC傻憨憨的很出戏
比老版冗长太多，加入过多心理分析元素（特别是父亲这条线），男主贪婪本性大大削弱，可惜陀螺除了画面感外并没有带来什么实质性的东西。
用史诗片的时长去翻新一部黑色电影，无疑是一种暴露短板的做法，陀螺这位导演编剧部分比较弱，但独特的电影审美依旧很在线，服装道具化妆场景仍然是好莱坞电影中的第一梯队。只可惜在这个画质越来越高清的时代，翻新一部黑色电影大概率只会落得既不卖座，又没口碑的下场。但我仍然会为陀螺这次勇敢的尝试，表示肯定。
