The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 要是把他当成情怀来看，那完全不值得，以小马宝莉为名的电影，和原作完全没有一点关系，仅仅是开头的一小段引子而已，完全不贴边。只不过我觉得更应该把他当成一部剧情简单的动画歌舞剧，巧妙的是，影片中能同时涵盖了多种风格的音乐风格，例如主角在拉伙大家一同参与恢复魔法的过程可以看出。同时感觉剧情简单没有特别突出的方面，甚至感到了有种压经费的情况，主线开始后主角的父亲再没有出现过。当然3D风格的小马类动画片也是比较新颖的。影片里的冒险过于仓促，仅有踢倒大树过悬崖的画面能让人联想到原作，并且也没有太突出任务的主要目的，一路上莫过于荒诞，没有连续性，最终三足分立的场景变为团结一致的思想过程莫过于简单，总体来说有些无聊，不如原作。

说实话剧情方面我看完感觉一般般，但动画方面是可可爱爱的，反正小朋友挺喜欢的，就是这个是英文的，有些小孩不太喜欢看😅
住家就是要佈置成這樣，燈光柔和、明窗通透，可以將居室內外一覽無遺，尤其更要有迷人的風光和春光。
配乐很棒，歌曲好听，五颜六色的陆马，飞马和独角兽都很好看，而且各有特色，摒弃恐惧，团结友爱才是最强大的魔法。
依靠心灵的团结，才是真正的魔法。最后彩蛋陆马的马蹄其实也有魔法，很有爱~
作为一部动画片，画面非常吸引小孩子，通过看这个电影孩子也懂得了很多知识，大家要相亲相爱，相信朋友，团结一心。几个不同的小马角色都令人印象深刻，孩子爱的小马，傻乎乎却充满了勇气。尤其是小马苹果好可爱宝宝都说不养狗了，不如国家养个小马，这种寓教于乐的动画片应该多上映一点。电影汇集了国内可谓知名顶尖的声优，虽然感觉跟电视剧版有些差异，不过算上不错的了。配乐插曲也很棒，尤其是Sia的片尾曲Rainbow，赞一个。
音乐还是那么好听
pps：本来想说西德尼给我的第一感觉就好像看《废柴联盟》第一次看到爱丽森·布里一样，结果发现导演《恋爱预留日》的女主角就是爱丽森。好你个迈克尔·莫汉！
窥探者也在被人窥探，立意很好，窗帘的伏笔，Julia和Pippa的“闺蜜”对话也调动了Pippa对其老公更多的好奇心也是致使其出轨的原因之一，情欲戏虽然只有胸和屁股但气氛和音乐很对，女性视角的异性恋情色也不多见拍得也不错，但是结尾拉垮，本来以为Seb的愧疚要对应前面Julia的愧疚，结果一个复仇就让电影的悬疑和神秘感尽失。
剧情神马的一塌糊涂，西德妮·斯威尼是唯一的看点。

好看！女主和男二的身材养眼 刘承羽我超喜欢 在这里也超级漂亮！黑人小哥是《所有明亮的地方》那个 也是挺有魅力的范儿。这电影的反转有点厉害 关于人的偷窥欲 看完第一感觉就是要回家拉好窗帘。

G5的几匹小马都挺有好感的！！Hitch和Izzy很喜欢！歌也很好听，开头M6还客串了一下，情怀一下子就上来了，就是剧情再好点就好了，感觉比G4要子供向的多，可能这部更合小孩子胃口吧

6.5/10完整却又套路的一部电影，基本上没什么惊喜，又是那套你凝望深渊的同时深渊也在凝望你的理论，中规中矩，尺度挺大，打发时间可以一看。
