电影拍摄得非常唯美，即使是在最悲惨的境遇下，画面依旧是美的。但是从剧情上来说，立意略显单薄，淘金热这一时代背景有很多可以刻画的内容，却被粗粗带过。

结局的happy ending,终于完整地画上了玛丽苏的符号，这是继《五十度》系列以来，看得最少女心的一次吧。美国西部的自然风光，淘金女郎被牛仔农场主的一路救赎，她逃，他追，她离开，他等待，她回来，他献上戒指。总体看来，还是挺美好的一个梦吧。
