The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 只有经历过才会明白它的残酷，无比悲痛的一部电影。
最终，尽管政治的话语一再被诉说，登月行走还是远远超越了一个“政治任务”所能容纳的意义。它让人得以确认自己和永恒的关系，让最脚踏实地最不相信星辰大海的人也为之动容。还有这颗蓝色星球啊，远看如此美丽，身处其中却令人心碎。（不过中途还是一度纳闷这是接了NASA布置的作业吗。）
