The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 罗素兄弟是真还没走出复联4的自我优越感啊，全片满满的漫威味，片名一出来就是满满的爷青回，就差把“复联4导演回归”打出来了，第一场刺杀戏重点不是动作是🎆没错我全被🎆吸引了，兄弟俩的编剧水平实在堪忧，此剧情在好像在哪个网飞同类里随便套一个出来的，美队油腻 邦女郎圣母 高司令如愿以偿越来越像憋屁之人了。各方面意义上的任务片，奖励是坐等💰来。我喜欢爽片，但不是这种碾压智商 自我良好的堆料片（1/10）
是因为要显示自己狠砸了钱，所以找了只能拍网大的罗素兄弟来拍吗，真的有自信。

满大街的欧洲炮灰路人&警察和坐电脑的CIA底层打工人倒了血霉摊上主角和反派。
这是我今年看过最好看的一部动作电影，高司令、桃总、安娜，爱你们！
逐渐理解大数据电影了，毕竟累了一天了，看看帅哥美女，飞车爆炸确实挺解压。在只想寻求放松的状态下和带着挑剔眼光看电影看到的东西是不一样的。虽然罗素兄弟这调度水平和讲故事能力比美队三下降了不止一星半点，但是给我放松已经足够。
前半段还可以其实，尤其是开篇五彩缤纷火树银花的曼谷之战，作为动作片场景来讲颇有想象力，后面就每况愈下了，尤其是从布拉格开始，节奏控制有问题，打斗已经看得太疲劳了…
新星逐渐升起（Julia Butters）。快结局莫名其妙，安娜大狙都架好了你俩要肉搏，好。打完了杰西卡·亨维克出来收人头，安娜那边没动静了？好吧可以强行解释为那边摇人了。总之结尾就是很仓促的感觉。面瘫的高司令还是一如既往的面瘫但吸引人。1080P 22/07/22 哦对了杰西卡·亨维克怎么总接一些很讨人厌的角色、或者说她演出来的感觉给人总是这个演员很讨人厌。
只能说有两亿美元投入的电影确实有两亿美元的视觉效果和高级的视听体验，但如此贫瘠、老套、毫无惊喜可言的文本实在不值得两亿的投入。继《谢里》后罗素兄弟又一次展示了自己“过人”的导演能力。
上半年最佳动作片，剧情及格，动作场面非常精彩，破网飞难得的一部好看电影。

爱嚼口香糖，穿42码鞋的高司令，猛斗黑化contractor 美国队长。这高速节奏是Jason Bourne 后很久没见了。前面两两之间互怼的台词也犀利对讽，听着特享受。期待系列成型！
合格的爆米花电影 流水线作品 糅合很多电影成功的元素 就好像没了自己。
再把小高那个油腻上司删减一下就更乐了
CIA 特工到处兴风作浪大开杀戒，却对上司的侄女充满爱心，这种老土的塑造人物方式要是放在现实里只会被骂洗地。这么多年了，好莱坞还是那一套。
高司令的侧颜还是很好看 动起来那美好比例的身材还是很好看 嗓音还是低沉的很性感 还有好几秒的裸体镜头 妇欲何求
又是一部网飞利用大数据拍出来的电影，把大伙爱看的元素全都揉到一起：精心设计的动作戏，大牌演员肌肉男；人物的高智商高情商表现；平民百姓爱看的类似于谍影重重的谍战，一人抵抗全世界剧情的爽感；全世界满地的取景，堪比另一部红色通缉令；随时随地的爆炸，迈克尔贝直呼内行；存在感糊脸的无人机拍摄调度；类似于这个杀手不太冷的大叔与萝莉的感情……考虑到疫情期间的拍摄绝对困难，成片能有这个效果就已经非常不错了。如果这片子十几年前早出于谍影重重的话将绝杀，只是可惜不是，因为这些元素大伙早已经看腻了……另外华硕败家国度打钱！
